Inspired by 18th-century French domino papers, it uses a small, regular motif that lends itself beautifully to bookbinding, papercraft and projects where delicacy and repeat precision matter. Named after the microscopic “animalcules” observed by van Leeuwenhoek, it celebrates the beauty found in the smallest details.

Printed in England with hand-mixed vegetable-oil inks, the paper has a smooth matte finish and a subtly hand-printed feel. The Crimson colourway is warm, rich and quietly distinctive. Perfect for those who favour pattern in miniature with depth and presence.
